It...means you're memorable? ♥?

Cecile was on her daily morning patrol with the troops. Granted, there wasn't much of a perimeter to scout, and Sir Thomas was still safe and secure eating his breakfast off scrambled eggs and those pancakes with the smiley faces on it (his morale was also a very important part of taking care of him!). But she knew how important a strict regiment was for training.

And dogs did need their walkies.

Konii gave a short bark, alerting her to something. Cecile gave them the signal to halt as she noticed a camper dressed in skintight red and white spandex trying to instruct a golden retriever, who was giving him the most dubious look a canine could muster.

"Come on, Mac! How else are you gonna be a super dog if you can't learn to look fierce in front of supervillains and intruders! You keep wagging your tail! Nonono, it's good that you're happy just, not in front of the bad guys! Licking Gorilla Grodd's just slang for beating him up! Not actual slobber--Mac!"

Cecile had to give him credit for trying. Even if his mimicry of a "fearsome glower" he was trying to get his dog to try looked more like a pout than anything else.

"Um, excuse me?"

Both dog and master immediately switched their attentions to the newcomer and her dogs. Bright eyed and bushy tailed (well, the boy didn't have a tail but if he did it probably would have been wagging just as hard at the sight of five puppies).

"Hihow'sitgoingyourdogsarecutecanIpet'em?"

"Um, sure!" Cecile said, hearing only the part about petting before he was over and giving Koroku vigorous scritches behind the ear, to the point where she thought her hand was beginning to blur.

Cecile knelt before his dog, Mac, and gave him a firm pat. "Are you training your dog?"

"Yeah, Brainy won't let him in the lab until he's 'trained' or something. Which is so not fair, he's just as trained as me!" The boy blinked. "Are you a dog trainer?"

"A little," Cecile giggled. "These dogs are part of my guard. We all protect Sir Thomas!"

"So you know lots about teaching dogs how to be good at protecting, right? Can you teach me? Pretty please? Pretty pretty please? I'd really appreciate it! I'll help you wash your dogs or guard Mister Thomas or whatever, I'm good at that, being a superhero 'n all!"

"I'm not sure! We may have very different ways of protecting people, but I'll tell you all I learned from taking care of Sir Thomas!"

Impulse, as she later learned, was a quick and eager study. Just as much as Mac was. Of course, maybe they took a little too much. To the point of Mac adopting a red and white bandanna for his superpet initiation (it wasn't a cape, Bart emphasized, so it was okay).

However, the most awkward surprise came to Brainy when, on the first day he allowed Mac into the labs, Bart giddily lept on him with a full suit of armor.
